Leads are missing job titles

Leads showing a name and nothing else — no title, no company. What it breaks and how to fix it.

Sometimes a lead lands with a name and little else: no job title, no company, maybe a profile URL made of random characters rather than a readable name.

What it breaks

Missing enrichment quietly damages three things:

1. ICP filtering. A lead with no job title can't be matched on title, so scoring becomes unreliable.
2. AI messages. Asked to assess someone with no profile data, the AI answers honestly — you'll see notes like "insufficient information to determine fit". It isn't malfunctioning; there was nothing to work from.
3. Templates. {{jobTitle}} and {{company}} have nothing to insert, leaving gaps in your messages.

Fixing it

Re-run the signal. Newly captured leads are enriched correctly, so a fresh run brings in complete records.

For leads already in your list, use the enrich action to re-fetch profiles. It fills in title, company, headline, location and work history for anyone missing them.

Then re-check your ICP

Once those leads have titles, your ICP filter starts judging them properly — which may mean some of them are now correctly rejected. A drop in lead count after enrichment isn't a regression; it's the filter finally having something to work with.

If it keeps happening

Consistently bare leads from one particular signal usually means that signal is capturing people whose profiles can't be resolved — for example authors of posts in groups, or accounts with heavy privacy settings.
